Ricky Dick is a director working across music, fashion and commercial film. He is an uncompromising creative force capturing the pulse of contemporary culture. He fuses narrative and style into bold, unexpected worlds, always on the hunt for the unseen.
Raised in a household where music was a constant presence, music has always been a central part of Ricky’s life, deeply shaping the rhythm and atmosphere of his work. He continued to develop his craft at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, building a strong foundation in directing and storytelling while deepening his creative and commercial knowledge last year during a scholarship exchange at the University of Texas at Austin’s Stan Richards School of Advertising.
Ricky's work includes the commercial Blood Rave for Hörluchs, a bold exploration of fashion film through playful visual absurdity, and the fashion film Resurrection for designer Valentin Lessner, bringing to life his award-winning Hinterland collection in collaboration with Chanel’s le19M. A standout project includes a cinematic live performance for Austrian band Bilderbuch’s EP Softpower.
He is currently working on his short documentary Ten Feet Tall and I’m Bulletproof, following Black bull rider Garfield Wilson III in rural Kansas over several weeks, exploring his life and the high-stakes world of bullriding while bringing his distinctive visual style to this intense and immersive subject.
